Jack Reacher: Never Go Back online movie review - a conspiring trade agreement of tech finding out never giving in is not an option never giving up or trying never going back on find a army conspiracy
) The second Jack Reacher movie has Tom Cruise's hero returning to the HQ of his old unit and accused of murder, while also discovering that there's a teenager claiming to be his daughter.
Oh, and there's a pile of bad guys out to pulp him. Cobie Smulders turns up as the Commanding Officer of Reacher's old unit and it all rattles along at a pace that makes the two-hour flick fly along. If you like your action well-choreographed, and a plot that's relatively uncomplicated but not dumb, this is pretty much the film for you. 1h 58min | Action, Adventure, Crime 8/10 Jack Reacher must uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy in order to clear his name. On the run as a fugitive from the law, Reacher uncovers a potential secret from his past that could change his life forever Never give in, never give up, never go back.
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is the sequel to 2012's Jack Reacher; both movies are based on the popular books by Lee Child. Like the first, this is a Tom Cruise thriller, so there's plenty of edge-of-your-seat action. Reacher is a one-man wrecking crew who leaves a trail of broken bodies.
Characters get shot, and are beaten to death. The fight scenes, especially the bone- snapping endings can be pretty intense. It's mostly hand-to-hand, but they're fast and high-impact.
I'll skip over the rest of the plot, except to say that the filmmakers have concocted a counter-Reacher called the Hunter (Patrick Heusinger), a soldier who left the service but realized he "can never go back to the world." ("Never go back" ? get it?) Now he shoots and beats people to death for rich employers. Reacher picks up the Hunter's tail, which isn't too difficult since he's dressed in black with black gloves and might as well be wearing a name tag saying, my name is: ASSASSIN.
This is another of those movies in which the tough bad guy is always trying to tell the tough good guy how much alike they are so the good guy can say something to the effect that they're nothing alike as he puts a spike through the bad guy's neck or pushes him off a skyscraper. Which is not what happens here.
.But despite of all this, i thought it was very entertaining and recommend it to any action lover to go and see this movie. It's a good film that keeps the viewer entertained on budget of 60 mill I could talk all day about the pros and cons of action film not a sequel as one shot was the 6th book and this is 18th in jack reacher you will find everything you need to know in the first few scenes we open at a diner where people are explaining what happened to the 4 men on the ground one guy beat them up he is inside the diner calmly eating his food it says a lot about tom cruise action dude persona put to good use in his recent hits like edge of tomorrow and m I p and that he doesn't even have to be seen to be doing bad-ass things to seem bad-ass at all it's a powerful pedigree along with cruise on screen charm and intensity that makes this such a success of Dir ed film there is plenty of kicking ass that you wont be disappointed with the plot is courtesy of lee child thank god its not Dan brown this film will keep you interested for the 2hrs it centers around a murder of 2 us army soldiers in Afghanistan a crime for which reacher current crush major Susan Turner (cobie smulders) has been arrested for when reacher tries to help he ends up back in the army and implicated in the murder so after breaking out of jail the pair go on the run cruise style the bad guys never give up and cruise is joined by SAM ( danika yarosh a feisty 15 yr old who thinks she is his daughter regardless of how many times he insists that the girl isn't his SAM is a targeted by the baddies but with a conspiracy by the army about missing tech form Afghanistan here Cruise and his feisty leading ladies and support are well capable but this film is has a nice with a heart of kick ass and feisty lady kicks. This is my 6 cruise film in a row in the cinema Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is a brilliant film. Director Edward Zwick has successfully taken over the reins from Jack Reacher(2012) director, Christopher McQuarrie. This movie is as entertaining as its predecessor. The action sequences are more intense & thrilling. The highlight of the film is the climax, which takes place at a Halloween parade. Though both this movie & the 2012 original are equally good, if I had to choose, I like the sequel better. A note on the performances. Tom Cruise is spectacular as Jack Reacher. Cruise tones down his natural charm & charisma, due to the intense character he's portraying. Don't worry though. There are a lot of witty one-liners in the film, that Cruise says with just the right amount of sarcasm & nonchalance. Cobie Smulders is superb as Turner. Smulders shines in her first lead role, in a blockbuster. Aldis Hodge is great as Espin. Danika Yarosh is outstanding as Samantha. Cruise & Yarosh, share a very warm chemistry & natural camaraderie in the movie cruise likes his women to kick butt. Patrick Heusinger is awesome as The Hunter. Holt McCallany is impressive as Col. Morgan. Madalyn Horcher is good as Sgt. Leach. Robert Catrini is effective as Col. Moorcroft. Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is a must watch for all action film buffs & Tom Cruise fans. Make way, Bond, Bourne & Hunt. We have a new spy in town & he's here to stay!
